Watermelon Fizz Recipe | Kitchenstagram

This refreshing Watermelon Fizz is just what you need to beat the summer heat. Light, cooling and incredibly hydrating, it’s a drink that comes together effortlessly and can be enjoyed as a non-alcoholic cooler or turned into a cocktail if you prefer.

With watermelons in peak season, it’s the perfect time to make the most of this naturally juicy fruit. Its high water content makes it ideal for hot days, offering both hydration and a subtle sweetness that feels instantly revitalizing. Paired with fresh mint and a splash of lime, the flavours feel bright and uplifting.

Watermelon is not only refreshing but also packed with nutrients, making it a smart choice for a summer drink. Belonging to the same family as cucumber and melon varieties, it shares that crisp, cooling quality we often crave in warm weather.

While enjoying slices on their own is always a treat, turning watermelon into a fizzy drink adds a fun twist. The gentle sparkle from soda gives it a lively touch, making it perfect for gatherings or a simple afternoon refreshment.

Ingredients needed for Watermelon Fizz:

  • Watermelon: Forms the juicy base and gives the drink its naturally refreshing taste.

  • Sugar: Powdered sugar balances flavours with adjustable sweetness as preferred.

  • Lemon Juice: Lemon juice provides a zesty kick that lifts and brightens the drink.

  • Mint: Fresh mint brings refreshing aroma and cooling properties with clean finish.

  • Soda Water: Soda water adds effervescence, making the drink light and fizzy.

Serving & Storage Tips:

For best flavour, chill the drink well and pour over ice before serving. Prepare the watermelon base ahead and refrigerate it. Add the fizzy component at the last moment to keep the drink lively and refreshing.

Pro Tips:

  • Use seedless watermelon or discard seeds beforehand for a cleaner blend.

  • For a finer texture, pass the juice through a sieve if desired.

  • Adjust sweetness and tang by tweaking sweetener and citrus to your liking.

  • Pour in sparkling water right before serving to keep the fizz fresh.

  • Chill well and serve over ice for the most refreshing experience.

  • 2 tbsp Fresh Mint

  • 2 tbsp Lime Juice

  • Club Soda
