Hi there!! Welcome to Kitchenstagram, the home of delicious recipes, culinary inspiration and cooking adventures. I’m Debjani and I’m thrilled to be your guide through the wonderful world of food. I’m a self-taught professional baker, home chef, recipe developer, author of Kitchenstagram and an aspiring YouTuber. My passion for food and cooking began at a very young age, when I would watch my mom and dad cook for me and my brother. My dad, in particular is a great cook whose culinary skills made a lasting impression on me. My dad would cook up a storm on special occasions by cooking variety of dishes, from delicious biriyani to samosa, fish fry, rasgullas and kachoris (sweet & spicy deep fried pastry with filling of lentils or meat or fish etc.). My dad also used to pack our lunch boxes for school, which always included something delicious. I started cooking when I was 13, and fell in love with the process of creating something delicious from scratch. Cooking has become a way for me to express my creativity and it brings me joy to share my creations with others. I believe that food is not just fuel for our bodies, but also a way to bring people together, to create memories, and to explore different cultures and cuisines. My love for food goes beyond just cooking and eating it. I love to explore & understand roots and history of different cuisines and recipes. I also love to learn about the culture and traditions behind a dish and incorporate those knowledges in my cooking.
In addition to my love of cooking, I also have a background in business. I hold an MBA in Finance and HR, and I worked as Senior Financial Analyst in an MNC for two years after completing my degree. However, I always knew that my true calling was to become a chef. So, in 2018, I took the leap and opened my own bakery Castle Bake. My journey to becoming a self-taught professional baker and recipe developer was not easy. I had to put a lot of hard work, dedication and persistence. However, my love for food and cooking made the journey enjoyable and fulfilling. My MBA in Finance and HR also gave me the skills to manage my bakery and business. It has been a wonderful journey so far and I feel grateful every day to be able to do what I love.
I have been sharing my food pictures on social media for a long time, which led to request for recipes and cooking classes. And thus, kitchenstagram was born. Kitchenstagram is a testament to my love for cooking and desire to share my creations with the world. I believe that cooking is an art and it should be fun, approachable and accessible to everyone, regardless of their skill level or experience. Here you can find a treasure trove of delicious recipes ranging from traditional Indian dishes to international cuisines, classic favourites to new & exciting creations and I’m always on lookout for inspiration from all over the world and add my own twist to make them unique and flavourful. I’m also a firm believer in using fresh, high-quality ingredients and cooking with care and attention to details.
Whether you’re an experienced home cook or just starting out in the kitchen, I hope that Kitchenstagram will inspire you to try new things, get creative in the kitchen, to explore different cuisines, to have fun with food and most importantly enjoy the process. Kitchenstagram is not just a platform for me to share my love for cooking, but it’s a community where food enthusiasts can come together, share their love for food and learn from each other.
