Pan Fried Chicken Tacos with Kiwi & Star Fruit Salsa bring a bright, tropical touch to taco night. Ingredients

  • Flour Tortillas

  • Heavy Cream

For Chicken:

  • 250 gm Chicken, sliced

  • 1 no. Kiwi, chopped

  • 4 nos. Garlic Clove

  • 2 nos. Green chili, sliced

  • 2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped

  • 1 tsp Lime zest

  • 1 tsp Cumin powder

  • 1 tsp Black Pepper powder

  • 2 tbsp Oil

  • 1 tsp Salt

  • 1 tsp Lime juice

For Kiwi & Star fruit Salsa:

  • 2 nos. Kiwi, chopped

  • 1 no. Ripe Star Fruit, chopped

  • 1 no. Onion, sliced

  • 1 no. Fresh Red chili, minced

  • 2 tbsp Fresh Cilantro, chopped

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp Sugar

Preparation

  • Step 1: In a blender jar, add chopped kiwi, garlic cloves, sliced green chili, chopped cilantro, lime zest, cumin powder, black pepper powder, 1 tbsp oil and salt. Blend until smooth.
  • Step 2: In a mixing bowl, combine chicken pieces, kiwi marinade and lime juice, keep aside for minimum 30 minutes.
  • Step 3:  In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil, add the marinated chicken pieces. Cook the chicken on medium-low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Set aside.
  • Step 4: In a mixing bowl, combine chopped kiwi, chopped star fruit, sliced onion, minced red chili, chopped fresh cilantro, salt and sugar and stir properly.
  • Step 5: To serve, heat tortillas over direct gas burner and transfer the tortilla in a serving plate. Layer tortilla with fried chicken, kiwi & star fruit salsa, heavy cream and fresh cilantro.
  • Step 6: Serve immediately. Enjoy!!
