  • Tomatoes: I have used my Homemade Tomato Sauce From Fresh Tomatoes, for my marinara sauce. Feel free to use canned tomatoes you like. If you want to use fresh tomatoes, first blanch and peel the tomatoes then simmer them down to the correct consistency.

  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil

  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped

  • 1 tbsp Garlic, minced

  • 500 ml Homemade Tomato Sauce

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tsp Blackpepper powder

  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

  • 1 tbsp Fresh Basil, julienned

Preparation

  • Step 1: Place a Sauce pot over medium heat and add olive oil. Once the oil is hot, add chopped onion, stirring often until soft and translucent.
  • Step 2: Then add minced garlic, stir until fragrant. Then add the Homemade Tomato Sauce. Simmer the sauce for 30-45 minutes on low heat.
  • Step 3: Next, stir in dried oregano and fresh basil, simmer for 4-5 minutes. Then turn off the heat.
