To make delicious egg toast for breakfast, you’ll need a few simple ingredients:
Eggs: This recipe requires 2 large eggs.
Vegetables: I have used chopped onions and green chili. But you can add bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms or crumbled paneer for variety.
Salt & Pepper: To season for flavour.
Cilantro: A few tablespoon of chopped cilantro for a fresh herbal touch.
Bread: Thick cut sandwich bread works best. Soft options like challah or whole wheat bread, rich in whole grains, are great choices too.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve it with a side of ketchup, tangy green chutney or spicy sriracha and enjoy it with a steaming cup of masala chai.
Storage Tips:
Refrigeration: To store French toast, let it cool completely, then place it in an airtight container or Ziplock bag. Refrigerate for 1-3 days.

Ingredients
3 pcs. White Bread, sliced
2 pcs. Egg
Salt to taste
1 tsp Freshly cracked Black pepper
1 no. Onion, sliced
2-3 nos. Green Chili, chopped
2 tbsp Cilantro, chopped
2 tbsp Oil
Preparation
- Step 1: In a bowl, whisk together egg, salt, freshly cracked Black pepper, sliced onions, chopped green chili and chopped cilantro.


- Step 2: Slice the bread diagonally. Dip one slice of bread in the egg mixture and flip the bread over and repeat on the other side.


- Step 3: Heat oil in a pan and carefully place the soaked bread on the pan, spoon and spread over some extra onions, chilies from the egg mixture on top. Cook on medium heat for a minute or until the bottom side starts to turn golden brown. Turn over and cook the other side for a minute until it becomes golden brown.


- Step 4: Serve hot with ketchup, sriracha or green chutney. Enjoy!!
