Store the baked buttermilk biscuit sausage rolls in the fridge for up to 3 days. To reheat, place them on a baking sheet and bake @190ºC for 15-20 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 250 gm Chicken, minced

  • 1 no. Onion, chopped

  • 2 nos. Garlic clove, minced

  • 1 tsp Blackpepper powder

  • 1 tsp Paprika powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tbsp Raisins

  • 2 tbsp Bread crumb

  • 2 tbsp Fresh Coriander, chopped

  • 1 no. Egg, beaten

  • 1 tsp Fennel powder

  • 250 gm Buttermilk Biscuit Dough

  • 2 tbsp Fennel seeds

  • 1 Egg beaten with milk, for egg wash

Preparation

  • Step 1: In a Mixing bowl combine chicken mince, chopped onion, minced garlic, black pepper powder, paprika powder, salt to taste, raisins, bread crumb, chopped coriander, beaten egg and fennel powder. Mix everything properly until well combined. Transfer the sausage mixture into a piping bag and keep aside.
  • Step 2: Roll the biscuit dough out into a rectangle and trim the sides to get a clean rectangle. Cut into small pieces about a width of 4 inch square.
  • Step 3: Then pipe the sausage filling at the end of one of the biscuit pastry square. Roll the sausage in the pastry, pinching the edge of the dough together where they overlap.
  • Step 4: Place the sausage rolls, on a baking sheet seam side down. Repeat with the remaining biscuits. Brush the egg wash over the tops of each biscuit roll and sprinkle with fennel seeds.
  • Step 5: Preheat the oven @190ºC. Bake at the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until rolls are puffed and evenly golden brown.
  • Step 6: Let the sausage rolls rest for 10 minutes before serving. Serve hot with ketchup or mustard sauce. Enjoy!!
