  • Vegetables: Finely chopped onion adds mild sweetness, while jalapeno brings a subtle spicy kick.

  • Cheese: Mozzarella Melts smoothly and cheddar can be used for a richer, sharper flavour.

  • Chicken: Minced chicken cooks evenly and stays tender throughout.

  • Seasonings: A mix of salt, pepper, paprika and chicken bouillon boosts the savory taste.

  • Herbs: Dried oregano and fresh parsley add brightness and a fresh herbal finish.

Storage Tips:

  • Refrigeration: Once cooled, place leftover chicken ring portions in a tightly sealed container and refrigerate. They’ll keep well for up to three days. Storing longer can cause the crescent dough to lose its texture and become overly soft.

  • Freezing: This chicken ring is freezer-friendly and great for make-ahead meals. Slice the ring and lay the pieces in a single layer on a baking tray. Freeze until firm, then move the slices into a freezer -safe bag or container. Label with the date and sore for up to three months. Alternatively, you can freeze the whole ring, let it cool completely, wrap it securely in foil, and freeze.

  • Reheating: To reheat refrigerator portions, cover and warm in a 350ºF oven for 15-20 minutes. Uncover for the last few minutes to refresh the crust.

Can you make Chicken Cheese Crescent Wreath ahead of time?

You can prep parts of this chicken ring in advance, but it’s best assembled right before baking. The cooked chicken and vegetable filling can be prepared earlier and kept covered in the refrigerator. It’s usually made a few hours ahead, though it will hold well for up to 24 hours, making final assembly quick and easy when you’re ready to bake.

Ingredients

  • 450 gm Crescent Rolls

  • 250 gm Chicken mince

  • 1 cup Jalapeno, sliced

  • 1 cup Onion, sliced

  • 1 tbsp Garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

  • 1 tbsp Butter

  • 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese

  • 1 tsp Black pepper powder

  • 1 tsp Paprika Powder

  • Salt to taste

  • 1 tbsp Chicken Bouillon

  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

  • Handful of Fresh Parsley, chopped

  • Egg Wash (1 Egg+ 1tbsp Milk)

Preparation

  • Step 1: In a pan, heat oil and add minced garlic, saute for few minutes.
  • Step 2: Add sliced jalapenos and sliced onions, cook for 6-8 minutes.
  • Step 3:  Then push the bell peppers and onions to one corner of the pan and add butter.
  • Step 4:  Add the minced chicken and saute for few minutes. Add salt, black pepper powder, paprika powder, chicken bouillon, dried oregano and freshly parsley, stir to combine.
  • Step 5: Cook on low heat for 8-10 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through. Once done, set aside.
  • Step 6: On a floured surface, roll the chilled dough into a large, thin rectangle, about 10×18 inches. Cut the rectangle in half lengthwise, and cut each half rectangle of dough in triangles.
  • Step 7: Arrange triangles overlapping in the center and points facing out. The center diameter should be about 5-inches. Spoon the chicken mixture evenly onto the widest end of each triangle. Bring the outer point of each triangle towards the center of the circle and tuck the point under the wide end of the dough. The filling will not be completely covered.
  • Step 8: Preheat the oven @375ºF or 190°C. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Step 9: Slice and serve with Ranch Dressing. Enjoy!!
