Lemon & Chili Garlic Rice | Kitchenstagram

This Lemon & Chili Garlic Rice can be enjoyed warm or straight from the fridge. It’s light, fluffy, and full of bright citrus flavour without being overpowering. Even with a few steps skipped, it turns out aromatic and satisfying every time. The blend of lemon, pepper and garlic makes this rice incredibly adaptable- perfect alongside Indian curries, Chinese-style gravis, stir-fries or as a simple side for grilled meat, fish or vegetables. What makes it even better is how quickly it comes together, from start to finish, it takes about 10 minutes. Bold, zesty and refreshing, this rice adds a lively twist to everyday meals and works beautifully for both quick lunches and fuss-free dinners.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp Butter

  • 1 tbsp Oil

  • 1 no. Onion, chopped

  • 1 tbsp Garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp Paprika Powder

  • 1 tsp Dried Oregano

  • 1 cup Fresh Cilantro, chopped

  • 2 cups Cooked Rice

  • 1 tbsp Lemon Zest

  • 3 tbsp Lemon Juice

  • Salt to taste

Preparation

  • Step 1:Melt together butter and olive oil in a large wok. Add chopped onion and cook on medium flame for about 6-8 minutes until soft. Add minced garlic and saute for 2-3 minute.
  • Step 2: Add paprika powder, dried oregano and chopped cilantro, saute for 2-3 minutes on low flame.
  • Step 3: Add the cooked rice, season with lemon zest, lemon juice and salt. Cook and toss everything gently until the lemony buttery mixture coats the rice and it is warmed through.
