The solid residue, which is dark brown, indicates that the ghee is done.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span lang=\"en-US\">Allow it to cool slightly, then strain it through a strainer and collect the ghee in a container.<\/span><\/p><\/li><li><p><span lang=\"en-US\">Store the homemade desi ghee in an airtight container at room temperature. But for longer shelf life, refrigeration is recommended.
